A Legacy for Reilly Kennedy Anzovino

A bursary has been established in memory of Reilly Kennedy Anzovino, an 18-year old Fort Erie woman who died following a late night accident on Hwy. 3 on Dec. 26, 2009.  The bursary, announced on Feb. 22 at a Fort Erie Council meeting, will provide financial assistance to deserving students entering Niagara College’s Paramedic program.

Donations received as of June 1, 2010 total $8,985. The goal is to raise at least $10,000 to establish a named endowed fund that will be matched by the Ontario Trust for Student Support for a total of at least $20,000.  The principal will be left untouched and the interest earned will provide an annual bursary in perpetuity for students in financial need.

Memorial cards are available at the two Fort Erie Credit Union branches for donations by cash, cheque or credit card.  Donations can be made online by clicking on “Donate Now” below.  Using the “Other” option, please direct your donation to “Reilly Anzovino bursary”

Cheques can also be mailed “in memory of Reilly Anzovino” to Niagara College Foundation, Maid of the Mist Campus, 5881 Dunn Street, Niagara Falls, ON  L2G 2N9 or phone Helen Armstrong, Student Awards Officer at Niagara College at 905-735-2211 ext. 7847.
